and there is a woman in
black long shadow right
behind him, she drifts
in this hall as if she says:
“Don’t try to understand
wind, and fire—
if you think you understand
then you misunderstand them,
they are memories told in verse
surrounded by the sounds
of premonitions—

yourself, stay longer than
anyone else—
that is where the winds come
from, followed by fire—
