We’re moving to higher ground, they say,
As our island sinks slowly into the sea,
flooding our schools, the places where we pray.
We’re moving to higher ground, they say.
We’ve lived here for 100 years, but we can’t stay,
Or we’ll drown in our homes if we don’t flee.
We’re moving to higher ground, they say
As our island sinks slowly into the sea.
