For anyone who loves picture books!
As a child, I hardly ever read a book that had a main (or even supporting) character that was Korean American or Asian like me.
To see my children reading books that showcase diversity made me realize more fully how much I wish I could have had the same experience. The inspiration for this book is my son – I wanted him to have a book with a main character with cochlear implants. I also wanted people to be able to easily recognize what a cochlear implant looks like, since to this day, my son’s cochlear implants are confused with some sort of gaming device, headphones, or hearing aids.
The book is available for preorder at Barnes and Noble or Amazon – it would be lovely to have your support. We need diverse books!
