Kirollos Roman

Kirollos Roman is an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital, and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Born in Egypt, he was raised in a small Coptic micro-community in Florida where he was immersed in the Coptic Egyptian culture, language, and faith in which his identity is rooted. He went on to receive his MD from University of Florida, and completed his residency training and chief residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham before joining his wife in Boston, MA. He has since implemented multiple curricular initiatives to improve diagnostic reasoning and model intellectual vulnerability, with a mission to rehabilitate medical training to re-instill wholeness, joy and purpose in medicine. He is currently a Public Voices Fellow with The OpEd Project in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital. Views expressed are his own.
