My name is Daisy Close and I am 16 years old from Plano, Texas. I am a singer, dancer, actress, and songwriter. I am also a member of the Health Science Academy at Plano East and CPR Certified. I have been singing for over 10 years, a member of Broadway Dreams Foundation, All Region Choir 2019, North Texas Performing Arts, and was awarded Citizen of the Year in 2014 by the Plano Rotary Club. I have been in over 50 shows, some of my favorite roles being Christine in Be More Chill at North Texas Performing Arts, Amber in Hairspray at Williams High School, and Ellie in Freaky Friday at Williams.
Ever since I was a little girl I always knew the arts were for me. It offered me a special place to showcase my talents and grow as a performer. I love doing what I do to inspire others and help create the next generation of performers. I made this company because I feel there’s something so special about telling a story through the arts, when words become too powerful they must be placed in a song. When you perform, you create a moment in time. It is a very beautiful and powerful moment I wouldn’t trade for anything. The thrill of performing on stage is so exciting for me and I truly believe it is was what I was meant to do.
Singing for Support is my performance company. 25% of all proceeds go to a charity of the customer’s choice. I’ve always loved helping out the community in any way I can, what a more beautiful way to spread joy to others than song? I offer discounts to hospitals and nursing homes.
Now is the best time to enjoy music while we live in this uncertain world. Music will always be a comfort to us and bring us joy when we need it most. If I can make just one person a little happier with my music, then I’ve done my job. However, we must take precautions to stay healthy and safe. I will still be performing, but it will be virtual and occur on Zoom. All performances are discounted half off! Please stay safe and we will see you shortly.
